January 11, 2018, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Hewitt Public Library
The Hewitt Public Library is starting a chapter of a club called Girls Who Code. Our local chapter will be available for girls in 6th through 12th grades, and will include a semester-long curriculum in coding taught by a female computer programmer. If there is a girl in your life who might be interested in joining the Hewitt Public Library's Girls Who Code club, please plan to attend our interest meeting on January 11th at 4:00pm. You can register for the meeting in the following link below.
Regular meetings will be held Thursday evenings beginning January 18. Time to be determined at interest meeting.Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization which aims to support and increase the number of women in computer science. The organization is working to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. The aim is to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.
