The Greater Hewitt-Waco area is served by two fully accredited, not-for-profit hospitals.  Hillcrest Health System has 400 beds and Providence Health Center has more than 200 beds.  Two additional hospitals, Scott and White Memorial and Kings Daughters, are located 30 minutes south of Hewitt in Temple.  Waco is also the home of the Veterans Administration Hospital, which has 433 beds.  There are more than 300 doctors in 45 areas of study in the Greater Hewitt-Waco area.  Medical clinics are located throughout Hewitt and Waco for convenient services seven days a week.
