What type of benefits does the City offer?

How do I apply for an open position?
All interested candidates must submit an application online. We are no longer accepting physical applications. Applications must be completed in their entirety to be considered for an open position.

Who may I contact about the status of my application?
You may contact Human Resources in regards to the status of your application at 254-666-6171. Once applications are reviewed, you will be contacted if you are selected for an interview.

Can I submit my resume instead of an application?
No, we do not accept resumes in lieu of an application. You may add a resume as a part of your supplemental materials, however, an application must be submitted to be considered for a position.

May I apply to multiple positions at once?
You may apply to as many open positions as you feel you meet the qualifications for. Individual applications must be submitted for each position you would like to be considered for.

Will I be notified if I am not chosen for employment?
The City of Hewitt makes an effort to inform all applicants about the status of their application. You may contact Human Resources for an update at 254-666-6171.

Are all employees eligible for the City of Hewitt's benefits?
All employees working over 20 hours are eligible for employee benefits. Employees that are classified as part-time working less than 20 hours per week, temporary, or seasonal are not eligible for employee benefits.
