1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten encourages parent/child bonding while promoting reading to newborns, infants, and toddlers. Our program offers a series of books and manipulative items that increase reading level, subject content, and engagement as a child moves through them. The program aims to have a child ready for a successful year of kindergarten!

The annual Summer Reading Program offers activities and prizes for all ages! Participants read to meet their age groups milestones, earn digital badges, and win prizes through the program. Special weekly performances add to the excitement.

Don’t let the holidays derail your reading habits. Instead, join the Winter Reading Challenge at Hewitt Public Library, and keep your mind engaged while having fun. The Winter Reading Challenge is a midway challenge to maintain reading momentum throughout the year.
