Request Outreach
Hewitt Public Library staff love reaching out to the community to talk about library services and offerings. Individuals, organizations, and businesses interested in hosting HPL at a presentation or event may email library@cityofhewitt.com or call 254-666-2442.
Donate to the Library
The Hewitt Public Library thanks community members, local businesses, and other benefactors for any donations made to the library that expand its collections and services. For the best impact to HPL, please make donations to the Friends of the Hewitt Public Library.
Sponsor the Library
Local businesses and organizations seeking to sponsor the Hewitt Public Library's events or services are encouraged to contact the Library Director. Sponsorships assist with funding special events like the Summer Reading Program and allow the library to offer more services and activities to the community.
- How do I get a library card?
-
Applications for a library card may be obtained from the circulation desk. Applicants must provide a Texas driver license or state-issued ID card and proof of residency dated within the last 30 days. Acceptable forms of proof of residency include a utility bill or piece of official mail addressed to the applicant.
- Do I have to live in Hewitt to get a library card?
-
No. Applications for library cards are available to non-residents of the City of Hewitt. To obtain a library card, present a photo ID and a piece of mail addressed to the applicant that is dated within the past 30 days. Note: Library cards are free for City of Hewitt and McLennan County residents. A $40 annual fee is assessed for all out-of-county cardholders.
