Michael was born and raised in Bellmead, Texas. He attended La Vega ISD Schools as well as Texas State Technical Institute and the University of Phoenix. Michael has been a resident of Hewitt since 1987. He and his wife have three children, twin daughters and a son. Michael has been an IT Professional for over 36 years. He is currently an Administrator of Systems and Procedures for Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies. He has been with the company for over 31 years. He was appointed Mayor Pro Tem on May 10, 2021.

Michael is an avid photographer. He has been a freelance photographer for the Waco Tribune Herald since 2007. You might see Michael at social and sporting events taking pictures of the festivities and sports actions. Michael also enjoys traveling with his family as well as spending time learning new skills such as drawing and painting.

Michael looks forward to serving the residents of Hewitt.
